Football
Every night we get on the Michigan gear, and watch Gannon play football. Hes a great kicker and loves to tackle!(imagine that) Got some pictures of him kicking the ball off the "T" Tuesday night.
Go Diego Go!!
Last night I took the boys, along with Candi and Carter, to see Go Diego Go, live at the Washington Pavillion in Sioux Falls. Although Hunter was not as thrilled to be there, Gannon was more than thrilled and was so excited the entire time. He could not believe Diego was really there! When it was all over he yelled...One More Time Diego! What a fun show, even saw Hunter smiling once or twice!
Exciting News!!
Finally.....Im going to be a new Aunt! My sister Karie and Ben are expecting a baby in May! I cannot tell you how excited I am, and hope she has a wonderful, healthy pregnancy!! Congratulations to Ben, Karie and the boys on this exciting addition to their family!
These are the pictures Karie took on my camera without me knowing. I was looking through the pictures and came across these!
Garage Party
Happy 3rd Birthday Gannon!!
Gannon turned 3 September 30th, so we celebrated the 29th with some family, friends and neighbors. Gannon has been anticipating this day for weeks, telling us daily how he wanted a four wheeler for his birthday. Daren and I found a four wheeler just perfect for him, and we were just as excited to give it to him. He also got a Michigan football jersey/pants/helmet/pads and football from Grandma and Grandpa Rockman......what a hit! He wore it Sat. night, slept in it, and wore it all day Sunday. I washed it while he was sleeping, and it went on again for daycare on Monday. He loves it, along with all the other great gifts. What a fun night! I can hardly believe my baby is three years old already. I carried him up to bed that night, legs dangling off my arms, and took in some mommy time. Daren and I are so blessed to have such good, healthy kids. I am one lucky mom!

Almost Done!!!
After all those weekends of work, its finally done....well almost. For the most part all the exterior work has been completed, except for a small area on the back of the garage that still needs siding. The last pallet of siding was the wrong stuff, so we have to wait to finish that section.
We think it looks great, and are looking forward to getting the inside finished off in the next couple of weeks. Next year we will side the house to match the garage.....another project! :)
Busy Labor Day
We spent most of Labor Day working on the garage.....again! Hunter got a few pics taken of us putting the siding on. We were very fortunate to have awesome weather Saturday and Sunday, and pretty much have the outside work completed. On Sunday I took the boys over to Arnolds Park for Randy's birthday celebration. The boys had alot of fun riding the rides and golfing. Gannon and Addy have so much fun playing together, they get along so well. Wish I had remembered the camera, but it was still a great day.

First Day of School
Time To Go Home
After being gone a week, it was time to head home. We made a stop in Fremont Nebraska to pick up our stone for the house and garage. We stayed at another hotel with a waterpark, so my Aunt and Uncle Rod and Barb were able to come over with their kids to play. Hunter couldnt believe all the family he has that we never see. It was fun to see them again, and the boys had fun playing with Thane and Brent. Home we go.......
Further South We Go.....
We made our way to Jason and Shantelle's house and were able to spend a night with them. We all had so much fun catching up with them and seeing their beautiful acreage for the first time. Jason took us to a great rib house for supper....I think it was truly the best ribs we have ever had. The next morning we were off to Rod and Diane's house at Lake Truman, by the Ozarks. We spent three days with them and Hunter and Daren got in some fishing. It was so hot out they left at 5am to fish and they were home again by 10 because of the heat. Not much fun being outdoors, so Diane took us to some fun tourist spots. Here are some pics of the view from their house, the boys fishing at the hatchery, and at the visitor center.
Worlds of Fun
We made our way to Worlds of Fun, on what felt like the hottest day ever! I believe the temps were 104 with 85% humidity. Let me tell you how much fun it is buying bottles of water every 45 minutes at $4.00 a bottle! Every time we saw water, the boys would dip their heads into it to cool off. Buy the end of the day, Gannon had his shirt off to keep cool. We rode the train to get some shade, which worked for a few minutes. Needless to say, it was still fun, the boys liked the rides, and the great amusement park food. Hunter got a bit bored having to ride the little rides with Gannon, but Daren took him to the go carts before we left. It was sure nice to get back into the air conditioned car and drive to Jason's house that evening!
Vacation....
Next to Great Wolf Lodge is a great shopping area called The Legends! What an awesome outdoor place to shop. We picked up some school clothes and some bargains for Daren and myself as well. Cabela's is also near the resort, so Daren and Hunter were thrilled. We found a sushi restaurant that night....amazing food and entertainment. Hunter was amazed by the chef, Gannon was scared of the fire, and Daren enjoyed the Sake, a few times! If you are ever near that area...stop in at The Stix....well worth it! We headed back to the resort for more swimming that night. Cant get enough of the water slides!
Finally....VACATION!!
Daren and I finally got a week lined up to take a vacation. Thanks so much to Chrissy for working the store while I was gone!! Our first stop....Omaha! Not very far from home, but excited to stop and see Nate at Jenna's house after he had been gone all summer in Greece...studying....or something like that :). After spending some time at Jenna's, we took off to Kansas City. We stayed at Great Wolf Lodge, what a great place to take the kids! We all had so much fun there, and I even participated in a hula hoop contest...after a drink or two of course! The boys loved the waterpark located inside the resort, and the outdoor facilities were just as much fun. It was 102 degrees the first day, so the pool felt awesome! Here is a picture taken of Daren and the boys in the lobby.
